What is I cloud?

iCloud is a cloud storage and cloud computing service from Apple Inc. launched on October 12, 2011. As of February 2016, the service had 782 million users. The service provides its users with means to store data such as documents, photos, and music on remote servers for download to iOS, macOS or Windows devices, to share and send data to other users, and to manage their Apple devices if lost or stolen.

How t use cloud?

iCloud is built into every Apple device. That means all your stuff — photos, files, notes, and more — is safe, up to date, and available wherever you are. And it works automatically, so all you have to do is keep doing what you love. Everyone gets 5GB of free iCloud storage to start with and it’s easy to add more at any time.

Back up data at cloud

When you set up iCloud, you automatically get 5GB of free storage. If you need more space in iCloud, you can buy more from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. Or you can delete files that you’re no longer using to free up space.

Before you delete anything, make sure that you have a current backup of your device. When you turn off iCloud Backup, a new backup isn’t created and the existing backup is deleted.

What happens when i delete I cloud backup

When you delete an iCloud backup, it permanently erases all the data stored in that backup from your iCloud account. This includes any photos, videos, documents, apps, app data, contacts, calendars, and bookmarks associated with that backup. Once a backup is deleted, you can’t restore it or access any of the data it contains. So if you accidentally delete an iCloud backup that contains important information, you won’t be able to get that data back.

If you want to back up your device again, you can either create a new iCloud backup or connect your device to iTunes

Other cloud features

In addition to iCloud Backup, iCloud also offers other features such as iCloud Photo Library, iCloud Drive, and iCloud Keychain. These features work differently than iCloud Backup and won’t be affected when you delete an iCloud backup.

iCloud Photo Library is a cloud-based service that stores all your photos and videos in their original, high-resolution format. You can access your photos and videos from any device that’s connected to your iCloud account.

iCloud Drive is a cloud-based storage service that lets you securely store files, photos, and more in iCloud. You can access your iCloud Drive files from any device that’s connected to your iCloud account.

In conclusion, when you delete an iCloud backup, all the data associated with that backup is permanently erased from your iCloud account. This includes any photos, videos, documents, apps, app data, contacts, calendars, and bookmarks associated with the backup.
